Texas A&M cross country returns to action in postseason racing at the NCAA South Central region meet hosted by Arkansas at the Agri Park on Friday, November 9. Henry Lelei is the defending champion.

Track & Field News named Texas A&M frosh Shelbi Vaughan Girls Athlete of the Year. Vaughan broke the national high school record in the discus four times and finished fourth at the Olympic Trials.

SEC cross country coaches voted A&M senior Henry Lelei as the men's Runner of the Year. Lelei claimed the SEC individual title last week and has been SEC Runner of the Week three times this season.

Texas A&M senior Henry Lelei become the school's first individual champion in the Southeastern Conference when he claimed the men's cross country title with a time of 23:29.95 at Percy Warner Park.

Texas A&M cross country will contest its first-ever SEC Championship meet Friday at the Percy Warner Park course. Race times are 10 a.m. for the women over 6,000m and 11 a.m. for the men over 8,000m.

Texas A&M repeated as the top men's relay team in the 56th annual rankings conducted by Track & Field News. The Aggies become the first team to defend their relay title since Arkansas in 2004.
