A pair of career best throws by Aggie freshmen hammer throwers highlighted the Friday portion of the Sun Angel Track Classic on the Arizona State campus while Casey Strong came close to breaking his school record.

Texas A&M, with the women's team ranked No. 1 nationally and the men ranked No. 4, will compete in the 35th annual Sun Angel Track Classic on the Arizona State campus this weekend.

Texas A&M had a pair of athletes earn SEC Athlete of the Week honors from performances at the Stanford Invitational. Olabanji Asekun shared the men's SEC Field Athlete of the Week while Austin Wells was named the men's SEC Freshman of the Week.

Seven more victories and a pair of meet records in the relays on the second day of the 30th Stanford Invitational had Texas A&M totaling 10 wins for the weekend at Cobb Track and Angell Field.
