A pair of Texas A&M athletes, Shelbi Vaughan and Aaliyah Brown, were honored as SEC Athletes of the Week by the conference office on Tuesday following the performances during the Texas Relays this past weekend.
National weekly honors from the United States Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association included Texas A&M's Shelbi Vaughan being named women's Division I National Athlete of the Week following her dominant discus victory at the Texas Relays.

On the second day of the 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, Texas A&M finished second in the 4x800 relay while Gabby Salazar and Karis Jochen placed second and third in the 5,000 meters. Casey Strong broke the A&M hammer twice, placing fourth.
