An impressive day for Texas A&M included five victories on the third day of action at the Texas Relays. Aggie sophomore Shelbi Vaughan broke her own school record and produced a U.S. and collegiate leading mark of 198 feet, 10 inches.

On the second day of the 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, Texas A&M finished second in the 4x800 relay while Gabby Salazar and Karis Jochen placed second and third in the 5,000 meters. Casey Strong broke the A&M hammer twice, placing fourth.

Texas A&M junior Jena Hemann completed the first day of the heptathlon with 3,237 points in the 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at Mike A. Myers Stadium. The tally has Hemann currently in eighth place among a field of 24 entrants.

Competing in the 87th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays this week, Texas A&M will contest 11 relays, 27 individual events and one multi-event. Action begins Wednesday at Mike A. Myers Stadium and will conclude Saturday evening.

The SEC announced Shavez Hart as its Men's Runner of the Week for the first outdoor honor of the 2014 season while USTFCCCA preseason outdoor national computer rankings have the Aggie women ranked No. 1 with the men at No. 3.

A sprint double victory in the 100 and 200 meters by Shavez Hart highlighted a day in which Texas A&M totaled a dozen victories at the UTSA Texas Challenge Invitational, the first home meet for the Roadrunners since 1995.

Texas A&M junior Brea Garrett won the weight throw competition at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships with a mark of 72-8 (22.15) on Friday evening in her first ever appearance at the national championships.
